Shot some more...
This is the scene before Rose's attempt to gt drunk. After the first scene ends, there is about 15 seconds of black before the next scene. The scene with Rose walking through the "haunted house" takes place just after she was running down the alley and collapses.

Another scene...
This scene needs a bit of an explanation. Rose has several nightmares and odd occurrences (she cuts her hand and the next day there is no wound or scar) so in a fit of depression she tries to get drunk on cheap vodka. However, unbeknownst to Rose, her cells are deigned to regenerate instantly rendering her permanently sober...

Cerulean news...
Just met with Jonah Crismore at Cinema Center - the local theater that caters to independent films and the like - and Cerulean will be shown on a friday in August...official date to be announced soon.
things are really rolling along...
Tony G has been working on the Bashar creature and just sent me this little gem.
We shot some great interior work last saturday.
And for those of you who have seen the first scene of the movie, the drawing of the moon has been replaced by a nice bit of footage from Steve P. With a little bit of help from premier it lines up with the footage we shot in the alley.

Just finished book 8
I just put the finishing touches on book eight. Going to mess around with book nine, but what I'm really jazzed about is the last three in the series. It's one gigantic, epic battle. It will include all three styles I have relied on for the base of the series plus a return to the Copic markers and a few more new media...stand by for updates.

Copic Markers!!!
Decided to take a break from book four since I am almost done with it and book three is completed and ready to go to the printer. My mother-in-law has been asking me to try Copic Markers for about a year now, but I have been resistant. She bought me a boat load of them for Christmas and I am hooked. I jumped on ahead to book seven to draw out a few pages. Book seven is the origins of the character Serf and how she came to be a cyborg guardian for Crimson Rosetta. The story will be told from her Academy room mate Giana. Since the story is about a time when Serf was more innocent and less experienced, I thought that a more cleaner look might be a good way to tell the story.

Kyle, Serf and Giana on their first mission out of the Academy.
With Serf as the leader, they were to put a stop to the growing number of Tellaxs gathering at the base of the Prayer Cliffs...the mission was to be an easy one...
The three new 'warriors' underestimated the combined strength of the Tellax...
Here is a close up of Giana so that you can see the marker lines and pencils and stuff...

Book Three
While waiting for Book One to come back from the printer, KA-BLAM, I finished Book Two, as stated below, and started Book Three. Book One was black and white ink with acrylic while Book Two was all watercolor. Book Three will be all graphite blended with paint thinner and some minor touches of red oil pastel.
